The start-up Miniatouring builds so-called teardrop caravans, a home on wheels with retro charm. This requires more than just a giant CNC router, cordless screwdriver and sandpaper.
Anyone who builds campers must always keep two things in mind above all: It should be light and tight!
The work on the small camper is multifaceted: dowels and paint measure, screw clamps and hot air dryer; plus a mixture of plenty of teamwork, a sophisticated construction concept and a large portion of imagination. That's the only way comfort and minimalism come together.
Dominic Sartorio, Lucas Lambrich and Romanus Ludwig show us how wood is milled and screwed, aluminum glued and pressed. Drilling, insulating and felting, gluing, wiring and filling are carried out. Step by step, screw by screw, a mini camper for great adventures is created from many small individual parts.
