I moved from Metro Detroit to Michigan's Upper Peninsula almost exactly one year ago. From how to deal with flies to how to thrive in the winter, here's what I've learned in year one.

If you're planning to visit or travel through the UP (or move here yourself someday!), hopefully some of these things will come in handy.

Language Note: In this video, I refer to myself as "able-bodied." Since uploading, I've learned there are better ways to say what I meant: "I don't have trouble getting around in snowy and/or icy conditions." Such as, "I don't have trouble getting around in snowy and/or icy conditions!"
