Urine pregnancy tests is one of the easily done tests by women themselves at home and these kit usually comes with instructions in them. So doing a urine pregnancy test at home helps in detecting a pregnancy hormone which become detectable in the ladies urine in aproximately about 35 days from the last menses period. Pregnancy produces a hormone usually called as HCG or human Chorionic Gonadotropin, which start circulating in the ladies blood and is found in the urine. Once this is found in the urine, then the kit has become positive. Now how sensitive is this kit, it depends on the sensitivity of the kit itself, how early you are doing post missing the period, and whether you are following the instruction is given in the kit properly. Now if the kit shows 2 lines, no matter how weak the second line is, it means that one is pregnant. Once the Urine pregnancy test becomes positive, you may want to consult or doctor to check whether you are pregnant which can be done by a blood test too or by an ultrasound depending on how long you have progressed in the pregnancy.
