Vildhjarta - Rendezvous (2009 demo)

This is a Vildhjarta demo recording from 2009 which was never released, but seeing as how it's been 8 years it should be safe to upload so people can check it out.
I wrote the lyrics:
The world lights up on the day (dew glistening); I always wanted to be here.
Following steps foreseen in clairvoyancy, crossing the threshold of a long held dream.
Waiting for so long.. break the chains of expectations, open up the flood gates.
A long time ago I saw myself in a dream, where all my wished had come true.
So elusive this dream, like the moon, I can see but never touch.
And now I'm barging into what seemed at first like a hopeless endeavor - the road is far too long - with a prize that could motivate forever.
Become a slave with no walls.
Now the sky is black, gotta stay on this track, panic attack...
you've got too much invested in this to just pull back.
A focus so adamant, you're reaching your goal.
Stand at the moat - now take the last step - your time is finally here.
Laugh at the road behind you.
All your hopes and expectations culminate to one point.
What now? You're holding what you want in your hand.
So much time just to get this far.
Real life is nothing like the world of a dream.
Where is the sense of purpose embodied in frozen time?
Torn down in spite of working so hard to reach something one would hope would justify and bring some peace...
Disillusioned and beaten again, doomed to keep toiling, never stopping to wonder why.
It's a vice to believe that happiness is something manifested in time and space.
Too easy to be deceived, feeling unfulfilled, never having shared a warm embrace.
I've been here before. I thought it would be the end.
As soon as I climb through the door, can't remember what I used to want anymore. 'Cause I've been here before.
