Schumann Carnaval Feghali Rec.1985

Jose Feghali (1961-2014)   I attentively  watched  the 1985  Seventh  Van Cliburn International Competition which culminated with Jose Feghali as the winner. I attended  his subsequent debut recital (June 15)  performed at the Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena, California, sitting in the  orchestra pit of the sold out hall. His recital was the same repertoire that he had performed  during the competition. .Chopin's Etude in C Op 10,No 1, Haydn's Sonata ,Op 52, Villa-Lobos'  Bachianas Brasileiras  No. 4,Chopin's B-minor Scherzo and Schumann's Carnaval. Daniel Cariaga, writing in the Los Angeles Times, did not give a positive review of this recital. I must admit that I too was disappointed.
