When we execute the show
When we execute the show running-config command on a Cisco device, the output will be paged through one screen (page) at a time. This command is helpful as configuration can be very long and can have thousands of lines. It would be impractical to dump the whole configuration to screen and expect the admin to rely on their scroll buffer. Default screen length for a Cisco device is of 24 lines.
