To set the UCS (User Coordinate System) in AutoCAD, follow these steps:

Open AutoCAD and open the drawing you want to work on.

Type "UCS" in the command line or select "UCS" from the "View" tab in the Ribbon.

In the "UCS" command line, select "Origin" to set the origin of the UCS. You can either pick a point in the drawing or enter the coordinates manually.

Next, select "X-axis" to set the direction of the X-axis. You can either pick a point in the drawing or enter the coordinates manually.

Finally, select "Y-axis" to set the direction of the Y-axis. Again, you can either pick a point in the drawing or enter the coordinates manually.

Once you have set the origin and orientation of the UCS, you can click "OK" or press "Enter" to exit the UCS command.

You can verify that the UCS has been set correctly by checking the UCS icon in the lower-left corner of the AutoCAD window. The icon should display the new UCS orientation and origin.

With the new UCS set, you can now work in a coordinate system that is aligned with the specific geometry of your drawing. This can be especially useful when working with complex geometry or when working in 3D. You can also switch back to the default WCS (World Coordinate System) at any time by typing "UCS" in the command line and selecting "World".
