A test of the 3SIXT
A test of the 3SIXT HD Sports Action camera available from Dick Smiths, BigW, JB HiFi, etc.
Prices vary from $42 to $49 Australian Dollars.
It is 720p HD 30fps.
The camera comes with Waterproof case, Shield, Helmet Mount, Handlebar Mount and USB charging cable.
It is best to use a class10 HD Video microSD card.
In this video I test the camera for vibration, wind noise (inside the waterproof case) and quality of image.
This test proved that the wind noise is quite loud above 130 kph.
When I lean down to show my speedometer the wind noise drops because the camera is lower down to the windshield out of the direct wind flow.
For the price the quality is very good. I noticed no Vibration.
The image would be better if it wasn't near sunset.
Because of Australian laws, a camera cannot be attached by glues, sticky mounts, screws etc so I mounted the Camera onto my open face motorcycle helmet using a strap from a travel bag (not provided) attached to the supplied bicycle helmet mount.
I placed a piece of rubber under the mount because it is flat whereas a helmet is curved.
To satisfy the law, it is NOT attached to the helmet. It is strapped on like a pair of Motorcycles Goggles would be.
