In 1776 South Carolina, widowed farmer and legendary war veteran Benjamin Martin (Mel Gibson from What women want and Braveheart) wants to stay out of the American Revolutionary War. However, as he helplessly watches his family torn apart by the savage forces of the British Redcoats, he finds himself unable to remain silent.
