Orange Order and Hibernians celebrate 400years of Bailieborough

This video celebrates the Irish Unionist and Protestant contribution to Bailieborough. It is a very special year for Bailieborough as it celebrates and commemorates the memories of the people who have lived there for 400 years. The Orange Order has played an important role in the history of Bailieborough, and continues to build for the future. Grand Secretary, Drew Nelson, was asked to speak to the local community about what the Orange Order stands for. This gave him the opportunity to explain what Protestantism and Orangeism is all about. Drew comments, "The purpose of this was to explain this to a nationalist, Roman Catholic community in Bailieborough.The hall was packed out - nearly all nationalist people, the AOH were also specifically invited and they were there as our guests in the hall. We went and escorted them into the hall."
