There is no need for the user to specify to which country the document belongs prior to scanning; based on AI and machine learning technology, the Smart ID Engine SDK automaticly identifies the country that issued that document independently in real-time once it is shown to the camera of the scanning device. It then captures and OCR the document's necessary data
This one minute video demonstrates the recognition of ten international driving licenses in real-time performed on the iPhone (Czech Republic, Spain, United Kingdom, Poland, Austria, Latvia, and Lithuania).
