The Georgia Guidestones is a granite monument located in Elbert County, Georgia, United States. It consists of a set of large standing stones, sometimes referred to as the "American Stonehenge." The monument was erected in 1980 and has attracted considerable attention and speculation due to its enigmatic message and the mystery surrounding its origin.

The Georgia Guidestones consist of four vertical granite slabs, which support a horizontal capstone. The monument is inscribed with ten "guidelines" or principles written in eight modern languages: English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, and Russian. The text includes messages about maintaining a sustainable future, promoting harmony among humanity, and guiding human behavior. The ten principles or guidelines are as follows:

.Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
.Guide reproduction wisely, improving fitness and diversity.
.Unite humanity with a living new language.
.Rule passion, faith, tradition, and all things with tempered reason.
.Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
.Let all nations rule internally, resolving external disputes in a world court.
.Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
.Balance personal rights with social duties.
.Prize truth, beauty, love, seeking harmony with the infinite.
.Be not a cancer on the Earth; leave room for nature; leave room for nature.
