Recently the Parliament has passed the 'The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Bill, 2019'. This bill was first passed in the Lok Sabha on 5 August itself. On 26 November, the bill has also been passed in the Rajya Sabha by voice. It has given many rights to empower transgender persons like identity, education, health, property rights, but transgender The community is strongly opposed to this bill.
