In this video I will go over some of the mistakes I made while installing my engine swap and other things that I learned along the way that weren’t in the instructions. First, I would like to address the slow cranking I was experiencing. I found what the issue was when the car turned on, I didn’t see my oem volt voltage gauge move. Which was odd because everything on my car worked fine before I decided to do this swap. I also remember that I had to swap out the alternators and re-wire the connections, so I looked at that area, and I found out that my dad that is the person who is always helping me put a ground on the alternator and that’s a big no no. so once we fix this problem cranking the car to start was back to normal. Second, I noticed that when the car did start my RPM tach wasn’t working and like before this worked before, I put this motor in. I reached out to Godzilla race works and asked them if I had missed a step or if there was something I needed to buy to make my stock tach work. They replied and told me I had to look for a solid blue wire that was around the old coil resistor block and put that wire to the NEGATIVE terminal on the coil and that sure enough fixed that problem. Now be aware that is very important to wire up your wideband gauge and you need to use the correct color code wire to get the correct reading back to the ecu (white wire 0-5 volts) that wire is connect to the Megasquirt hardness wire that is label Wideband.

I’m also still unsure of where I want to put my wideband gauge at, I order 2 3d printed pods one that I can place on the pillar and the other one that is by your knee, and it replaces your ac vent.

Also, I looked around and addressed a few problems like the injector that was leaking fuel also knows that the 45-year-old down pipe gasket I was trying to reuse was bad and leaking.

I also brought a power steering block cover and timing chain inspection cover. I also need to redo all the spark plug wire since the turbo distributor is much bigger than the NA l28 distributor.
