Growing up as a youngster in Samoa I would watch my sister and girl cousins practice items for reunions, school, church etc and you would always here the name "Taralina" mentioned - "aoooo, faiaku lii lou fia Taralina ma lau siva" LOL that kinda stuff.
Dr. Taralina Gaee Atefi is no stranger to the Samoan siva as well as her dear mum the late LMS Gaee, who's name was always synonomous with the TTC or Teachers Training College of (Western) Samoa aka #AusivaAFaiaoga. I was always mesmerized whenever I watched them siva. You could always tell those who "a'o" their siva and those who are just natural. Just look at the expressions on their faces as well.
I've been meaning to upload this video for almost three years now but I have been waiting to see if I could find more footage of Taralina but I guess this will just have to do right now. I've also included a snippet of the late Mrs Gaee because both embody the gracefulness and poise of a Samoan siva in my opinion. I know there are many out there who siva very beautifully and gracefully today but these two are one of the very best in my books.
