Here's the blotter update:
- Enclave is perhaps the one out of this quartet that least lives up to the promise of its opening. As the coolness of the mint fades away and the resins thin out, the usage of woody ambers in the base becomes a touch too obvious.
- By contrast, Crimson Rocks improves as it develops, playing sweetness and woodiness against the rose to engaging effect.
- Ashore remains a beautifully-judged sunbeam of jasmine, using those mineral notes to bring out the brightest, most optimistic facets of the flower.
- Meander is fascinating. It appears to grow quieter and quieter, and yet it maintains a hold on the wearer, with that curious incense-iris combo forcing you to pause every now and then, close your eyes and just take a moment to breathe deeply... a moment to meander through the scentscape.
