Authentic Italian Tomato and Basil BRUSCHETTA | The Perfect Appetizer

Classic Italian flavors! This fresh and delicious Tomato and Basil Bruschetta is absolutely fantastic. It's super flavorful and so easy to make. Serve as appetizer or side dish for your next event. It’s perfect for a party because you can make a large batch of the topping ahead of time, as well as toasting baguette slices. Either bring out a bowl of the bruschetta topping for people to put on their own toasts, or do it for them right before serving. Make it and enjoy!

Ingredients:
Use any flavorful, ripe tomato for this recipe. If you use cherry tomatoes, just quarter them.
6-7 tomatoes
1/4 red onion
2 cloves garlic
6-8 fresh basil leaves
salt to taste
black pepper to taste
pinch of dried oregano
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (or to taste)
1 tsp balsamic vinegar (or to taste)

1 French baguette or similar Italian bread
1/4 cup olive oil
1 clove garlic
