Amazing Veggie Growth

Our raised beds are coming along! It is amazing to look back and see the comparison of what one month of growth looks like. We were happy to see veggies producing and were even able to pick a few already and enjoy them on the spot. Now that is fresh! There is no comparison to store bought and fresh out of the garden flavor.

We have added two more beds and planted a few miscellaneous items we hope to grow from seed and have produce by fall. This has been one heck of a learning curve for us, but it is all going forward, lessons learned!

We have encountered many different insects, some good, some bad. Watering issues with 100-degree heat. Changing from granulated fertilizer to liquid. Perhaps most difficult, the dirt in our beds have settled much lower than we anticipated, we will definitely be adjusting that after the final harvest in fall in preparation for next spring.
