The brain is your body's control center. It processes information to and from your senses and manages vital involuntary actions like breathing and keeping a regular heart rate. Your brain allows you to run and play, speak clearly, and feel a wide range of emotions. When the brain becomes impaired by alcohol, its functions slow down, making it difficult for you to perform everyday tasks. This can make it hard to walk, talk, think clearly, make decisions, and more.
