Steam fix for stuck in "Update paused"

Steam can get stuck in update paused mode if you're not lucky and let you start the game, even though the update is not downloaded and/or installed yet. The fix is easy once you know what you have to click: go to the context menu of the game in the library and then in properties, check the consistency of the files. It will then hopefully start dowloading the update, which you can now reach using the bottom link/button. You can there control which games/tools/software gets update/installed and which ones are paused. Leave a comment if you still have issues.
