OMGsh guys, I'm so excited! I finally figured out an affordable way to make my own alcohol ink. This ink works great to refill markers, like Copic, Prismacolor, Ohuhu, etc., or just to use on Yupo paper or another nonporous substrate on its own.
I can't believe I did not think of this sooner.
The dye I used:
Scarlet, by Rit

Blick has it on sale for under $2.50 and has a good variety of colors that, according to Rit's website, can be combined to make over 500 different colors.
