Critique of the baby boomer generation from a quarter century ago by the generation that came before them, edited and posted by a millennial tired of listening to boomers complain about how the generations that came after them are so "entitled."
Keep in mind, this is not a condemnation of every boomer as an individual. But generational tendencies don't apply to each individual. There are positives and negatives with any generation. Plenty of wonderful people, plenty of schmucks.
There's just a LOT of justified resentment built up against boomers specifically because of a tendency many have to point the finger of blame at younger generations for problems they primarily caused (and take little or no responsibility for), especially after being hoisted up to the top of the ladder by their parents and grandparents only to turn around and pull the ladder up behind them.
Just look at the many boomers complaining about student debt forgiveness. They conveniently fail to remember how little college cost for them. And how they gutted funding for higher education after they already got theirs and stuffed that money in their own pockets, saddling everyone who came after them with the bill. All while convincing themselves that they made it simply because they just worked harder and are better than everyone else. When they get help, it's relief they deserve. When "others" get help, it's a handout they don't deserve. It's amazing how far the cognitive dissonance goes. Unable to recognize how the many burdens they didn't have to face gave them a huge advantage we simply don't have. And insulting us for in the process.
