As the Philippines continues to
As the Philippines continues to grow – in economy and in population,
so do its demands for infrastructure.
Here are some of the massive infrastructures
that are nearing completion in Central Philippines.
1. The Leyte Tide Embankment Project was conceptualized as part of the Build Back Better policy of the Government’s Program on Rehabilitation and Recovery from Super Typhoon Yolanda to build safer cities/communities The Project shall cover a length of about 27.3 kilometers stretching from the shoreline of Barangay Diit of Tacloban City passing through the entire shoreline of the Municipality of Palo, Leyte and ending up to Barangay Ambao of Tanauan, Leyte.
2. The Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX), also known as the Cebu–Cordova Bridge, is a 8.9 km (5.5 mi) toll bridge expressway under construction in Metro Cebu which will link Cebu City and Cordova, Cebu.
It is the 3rd link between Cebu and Mactan Islands. Once finished, it will become the longest bridge in the Philippines surpassing the Candaba Viaduct of North Luzon Expressway in Luzon.
3. Metro Cebu Expressway - Approximately 56.9 km long high standard arterial toll road planned to meet Metro Cebu’s existing and future traffic demand. The project will serve as another north-south backbone highway providing a seamless traffic flow from Naga City up to Danao City traversing along the slopes of the mountain range of Cebu Province and is expected to significantly address the traffic congestion within Metro Cebu especially its urban core and Central Business Districts.
