Budget 2024 income tax expectations: “As we know that this government's impetus is on simplicity, ease of administration and transparency in the tax system and to keep that impetus further, they introduced the new personal tax regime and they did several changes in that regime last year to make it more meaningful for the salaried class. So, my biggest expectation from this budget would be to revise the tax rates in the new personal tax regime.,” says Ravi Jain, Partner, Vialto Partners. Budget 2024, which will be an Interim Budget, will be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 1, 2024 as part of the Parliament’s Budget session.
