Following President Biden's visit to
Following President Biden's visit to eastern Europe this week, this E-4B Nightwatch, known by many as the 'Doomsday plane' departed RAF Mildenhall.
It is part of presidential protocol to have one of these aircraft on standby in the same continent as the president.
The aircraft was airborne at 1659 hrs, just as the daily national anthems were sounding across the station. Kicking up a lot of the water from this morning's constant drizzle, the fully-fuelled modified Boeing 747 heads back to the States along with Air Force One from Poland.
