Electricity is an important expense
Electricity is an important expense cost for vertical farm operations.
A 36W T8 grow light consumes 158 KWH of electricity per year.(Lights on 12 hours a day)
The height is 0.3m and the average illumination reaches 300µmol/m²/s.
Using other brands of T8 lamps, power consumption per square meter is 200W. That is, 876 kWh of electricity per year (12 hours a day).
Using the Koray PT8T V3 spectrum lamp, power consumption per square meter is only 133W, saving 293 kWh of electricity per year.
Each lamp covers 0.24m², which means that each lamp saves 70 kWh of electricity per year.
