Hello, welcome back to crazyRov studio. In this video we will look at how to upgrade the OS on a Data Domain using the command line interface.

You can get the complete details of upgrading DD OS by generating it on Solve which is DELL’s tool for generating procedure documents for any operation on DELL based products. Solve is available both online and as an offline application for windows as well. The link to the online instance is in the description. SolVe (emc.com)

The most important step before the upgrade is to check the release notes, one of the exciting changes is that DDVE can now scale up to 256TB on AWS and GCP. Also, DDVE deployment from GCP marketplace is now enabled.
