A Plague Tale: Innocence is set in France during the Hundred Years War and the early days of the Black Death pandemic. Amicia must protect her estranged younger brother, Hugo, after their home is attacked and their parents killed by the Spanish Inquisition.
Hot on their heels is a knight clad in heavy armour - Nicholas - acting on behalf of the Inquisition itself.
Together the siblings must survive the pursuit of the Inquisition, the outbreak of deadly plague rats, and even make some allies along the way.
