In this Ukrainian lesson for
In this Ukrainian lesson for beginners, we will practice the shadowing technique for the story about the Canadian girl who is learning Ukrainian. All the phrases you will see on the screen, and you need to do these three steps:
1 - Listen how I read the sentences and read the text silently at the same time.
2 - Listen again, follow the text and then repeat out loud after me (try to imitate the intonations and pronunciation)
3 - Do the shadowing - read the sentences simultaneously with me a few times.
Shadowing is a language learning technique, which helps to develop your listening and speaking skills, improve your pronunciation, reduce an accent. It helps to work on intonations, stresses and rhythm. If repeated frequently, this technique can we be very efficient.
