My tips for organizing your
My tips for organizing your record collection with Rekord box or other spinning software.
● Directory structure is playlist structure
● Always backups. Also mp3s beatport cant byredownload.
● Order by key drag to new playlist
● playlist order by key helps me to as suggestions
● Organise by year not useful. decade is better
● Organise the way you can find it. What is techno for you? Some say its techhouse. I know i wanna search it in trchno
I also make playlists, ie jon sine playlist.
Who cares if someone else thinks its techhouse, or if it is in techhouse. its your record collection, you need to find stuff, not someone else.
● Add search keywords in title of song
● Using history function of Rekordbox. spinning with your CDJ via utp DJ pro link. When I think: "i need good combination for a mixtape" takes hours with forced combinations.
When i feel free, i can think of really creative but good combinations of songs.
Rekordbox records history, when you have a good couple of combinations
make a separate playlist if you find several good combinations.
