Norton Antivirus app is loaded with features. I can find real-time threat protection, a VPN, a password manager, and more, including the most customizable firewall I've tested.
There are also plenty of scanning types to choose from. That said, while Norton has a long list of features and is one of the best when it comes to security, it has one glaring drawback. Using the app can be quite bothersome. With nearly every click, there’s a new pop-up cluttering my screen.

Just like Norton, according to an independent testing institute, Bitdefender detected 100% of zero-day threats and almost no false positives.
Bitdefender has all the essential security features such as Real-Time and Ransomware protection and some extra ones like a VPN, a password manager or Social Network Protection feature. That said, this provider isn't just about security. It has great options for optimization: the profiles feature allows me to set up different settings for Work, Movies, or Gaming.
After testing Norton, using Bitdefender was a blessing. The app not only looks nice, it also feels nice. Everything is neatly organized within sections that make sense.
