This place is a paradise for trekkers, nature lovers, and bird watchers and for the majestic view of Kanchenjunga. It is also famous for its location as Dhotrey is a favorite base camp for Tonglu, Sandakphu, and Phalut Trekking so undoubtedly it could be a very nice offbeat destination near Darjeeling.
