There are lots of those who are Harry Potter lovers; they have read all the books and seen all the movies, and the only thing they are still looking forward to is actually visiting Harry Potter place and shop in London at Platform 9 3/4.
It is not just about the shop from where admirers could get the different products like clothes, books, mugs, T-shirts, notebooks and much more from the things and items that appeared in the movie, but it is also about the tour that people could go through in the Warner Bros Studio Tour - The Making of Harry Potter, which offers the visitors the opportunity to step into the authentic sets, discover the magic behind spellbinding special effects and explore the behind the scenes secrets of Harry Potter film series.
Inside this place, you will see the original stone floor of the iconic Hogwarts Great Hall, encounter animatronic creatures and wander down Diagon Alley. This is one of the beautiful stories that one could walk through while visiting London because it will show the visitors the incredible British talent and imagination that brought this movie series out to the real world.
There are lots of products in Harry Potter shop which one could buy as a souvenir for visiting this place or even just for the love carried for the movie series and the characters and other things that appeared in it. There are shirts, T-shirts, key-chains, tea towels, card holders, necklaces, mugs and lots of things that you will even find them all categorized inside into: wands, sweets and toys, apparel and accessories, home-ware and stationary.
Platform 9 3/4 is at King's Cross Station and it is the place where the visitors take the picture with the trolley. This trolley is accessible all day and at all times, without having to pay anything in order to take this photo with it. The interesting thing is that you don't just stand to take a picture with the trolley, but you could also make it more professional with wrapping a scarf around your neck which is also available there - and yes you could then purchase this scarf in the shop next door! There is a professional photographer who is available there from 9 AM till 9 PM, the only thing you should pay attention to is the festive days and the school holidays, because at this point the queue will get longer and you will need to come early to manage taking this photo.
In the movie series, King's Cross is where students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry catch the Hogwarts Express. In the Wizarding world, Harry and his friends get to the platform by dashing through a brick wall between platforms 9 and 10. Today, in the real King's Cross station, platforms 9 and 10 are separated by tracks and that's why you will find a platform 9 3/4 on the wall in the station concourse.
This is not the only interesting shop that is related to specific movie or character that is found in London and which could attract lots of tourists and visitors to it, but from those which we have been to and which were also filled with different products related to the theme of the place, such as Shrek's Adventure Shop (Shrek's Adventure Shop in London - Pl...), M&M's World Shop (M&M's World London - Places to Visit ...) and the BFI Shop in the city (BFI Shop (British Film Institute) - L...).
