M9 News Journalist Nishant sat with Director Sailesh Kolanu who is coming up with Saindhav for Sankranthi. Starring Victory Venkatesh, Saindhav is an action-filled emotional drama.
We asked him about shift from Thriller space after HIT and HIT 2.
About his speech at the Teaser release where he said he actually met Venkatesh garu to say No to doing a film with him. We also asked him if it is true, he wrote the script for Tamil star Ajith first.
Sailesh confirmed M9 News that the movie is based on the story of Ayaansh Gupta of Hyderabad who wanted a 17 Crore Injection for Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
We asked him how he got the balance while mixing fan moments in such a sensitive subject.
"I do not have the problem of losing the balance because I am very aware of what my film asks and I will never overdo anything that impacts my story. I did not add anything to please Venkatesh fans or live up to the 75th film," Sailesh Kolanu said.
He also said that the movie will not have Entertainment by Venkatesh due to the character he is playing but will have enough entertainment from other characters.
We also talked about bringing in Nawazuddin Siddique paying about 9 Crore but unfortunately Hindi market crashed afterwards.
"There are nine fights in the movie but not lengthy ones. Venkatesh Vs Arya will be interesting," he said.
He also spoke about the major feedback about climax being not so convincing in HIT and HIT 2.
We also asked him about people saying Saindhav is not a good fit film for Sankranthi.
