Some things to keep in mind regarding the case:

- Whoever committed the crime, seems to have successfully avoided leaving any incriminating forensic evidence.

- There is evidence that JonBenet was wiped down.  If this is true, and the killer wore gloves, then the lack of forensic evidence is essentially  part of the staging.

- The partial DNA profile known as "Unknown Male #1" is uninformative.  Like all DNA, we don't even know if the "Unknown Male #1" profile is from an adult.  

- The statistical reality, regarding the murder of children, is grim for parents.  Only 1 out of 12 is committed by a stranger.

According to our speculation, even if John wore gloves, he may have still worried, that his DNA could have somehow transferred to the duct tape, cord, etc.  As mentioned in the video, we believe this is part of the reason why John handled all of the key evidence when he "discovered" the body.  So if his DNA was found on the incriminating evidence, he had an innocent explanation ready.
