Deviant's Lock Advice - Part 02 - Re-Keying Padlocks

It amazes some folk when I tell them that it's quite easy and inexpensive to acquire a decent padlock offering pretty good secuirty and to have it operate with the same exact key that they use on their house.  One of the simplest solutions on the market in this vein is the Abus 83-series of padlocks.

In this video, we'll re-key an Abus 83/45 so that it matches a Schlage key which we plan to use as the basis for all of the security in this video series.  If you think that re-keying a padlock could be a challenge, give this a glance!  It isn't as hard as you might think!
