Transgender Model Munroe Bergdorf has been “controversially appointed” the “UK champion” for UN Women UK, says Author Douglas Murray.
The appointment of a transgender model has caused significant backlash against the charity.
The charity seeks to “improve the lives of women and girls” promoting equality within “civil society, the corporate sector and government,” Mr Murray said.
“Monroe was … assigned a male at birth,” he said.
“17 women’s rights groups have signed a letter to the charity complaining about a transgender woman representing them on the committee.”
