I've found the exact same problem with many Crown DSi and XTi series amplifiers that fail to power up. This is a followup to my previous video - today I found myself fixing 5 amplifiers, and all were fixed with the same simple capacitor replacement.

It is, in my opinion, a design flaw of these amplifiers, but the fix is super easy. Disassembly and reassembly is the time consuming part, but I've got it down to 15 minutes or so per amplifier.

Not into electronics? Well there's no time like the present to learn! But don't try any of this at home unless you know what you are doing and are aware of the extremely dangerous voltages that can be present inside a power amplifier!
