How to make Delft Clay for casting
Delft clay is a type of casting material that is often used by jewelers and other metalworkers to create intricate designs. Here's a recipe for making Delft clay at home:

Ingredients:

1kg of fine silica sand
200g of bentonite clay powder
Water
Instructions:

Start by mixing the silica sand and bentonite clay powder together in a large mixing bowl. Make sure the mixture is thoroughly blended.
Slowly add water to the mixture while stirring continuously. The goal is to create a wet sand mixture that will hold its shape when squeezed in your hand.
Keep adding water until you have the right consistency. You can test the mixture by squeezing a handful of it tightly. If it holds its shape and doesn't crumble apart, it's ready to use.
Once you have the right consistency, transfer the mixture to a container with a lid to keep it from drying out. You can use it immediately, or store it for later use.
That's it! With this homemade delft clay, you can create intricate designs and patterns in metal using a casting technique.
