When it comes to catching bass year round, a swim jig is almost always effective. It can mimic a bluegill, shad, shiner or craw extremely well and bass seem to eat swim jigs in super cold water, and super hot water.
One of the biggest keys to swimming a jig it to keep the bait right below the surface. There are days where making a small V wake can mean the difference in catch a few bass and catch huge bass!
