The night of Qadr (Arabic: ليلة القدر, meaning the night of destiny) is the name of the night that is mentioned in the Quran, especially Surah Qadr. Most Muslims believe that the Qur'an was revealed to Muhammad for the first time on the night of Qadr
Muslims stay awake until dawn on this night.
The night of Qadr is called "Qadr" for this reason, as all the destinies of the servants throughout the year are determined on that night, the witness of this meaning is in verses 3 and 4 of Surah "Dukhan" which says: Inna Anzalnahu fi Lailat Mubarakat Inna Konna Munzerein * Fiha Yufaraq Kul-Amr Hakim: "We sent down this clear book on a blessed night, and we have always been a warner on that night when every matter is regulated and determined according to God's wisdom." This expression is in harmony with several narrations that say: on that night, the destinies of a human year are determined
The Imam Reza shrine in Mashhad, Iran, is a complex which contains the mausoleum of Imam Reza, the eighth Imam of Twelver Shias. It is the largest mosque in the world by area.
