Check out our new tool named Virtual Clamping.   The tool drastically reduces required time and expenses during the quality control of stamped parts. Up to now, deviations between designed and produced parts have been measured by clamping them on specific measuring mounts and measuring them using 3D scanning.  The virtual clamping tool comes to replace this method, by employing capabilities within the ANSA pre-processor, EPILYSIS solver, and META post-processor. In this new process, the stamped parts are scanned in a free state and then, the tool assesses the displacements between the nominal CAD part and the scans by simulating the clamping process. This new tool has become the new standard for stamped parts’ quality control as it, not only reduces expenses for clamping equipment, but also saves time and effort with a precise, easy, fast, and user-friendly wizard-guided process.
