The patented Tri-X filtration system
The patented Tri-X filtration system is standard on many Hot Spring spa models and may be used on any Hot Spring hot tub. The Tri-X filters have twice the cleaning area of other cartridges its size. To avoid dirty water in your hot tub, choose the best filtration system and do regular hot tub maintenance that includes cleaning your filter. Clean your Hot Spring Tri-X filter, using one of four options listed below.
To remove the Tri-X filter, turn off the power to your hot tub, open the filter lid and remove the filter.
Clean your Hot Spring Tri-X filter, using one of 4 cleaning options:
1. Using a garden hose, rinse the filter thoroughly.
2. Spray the filter with a spa filter cleaner or degreaser, then rinse with a garden hose.
3. Spray the filter with a spa filter cleaner or degreaser, let soak overnight, then rinse with a garden hose.
4. Insert the Tri-X filter in the dishwasher, and run it for a full clean cycle. DO NOT ADD SOAP OR USE THE DRY CYCLE.
Once your filter is cleaned, replace the filter and turn the power back on. Regular monthly filter cleaning is an important hot tub maintenance that will extend the life of your filter. When cleaning the spa filter, always inspect for signs of wear and tear. A hot tub filter replacement is needed when the hot tub filter is discolored or shows wear on the rubber.
