The Armada Portrait and Symbolism | Picture Yourself

The Armada National Outreach project has been funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and has been a partnership between Royal Museums Greenwich and Speakers Trust.  

The project focuses on using the Armada Portrait of Queen Elizabeth I and her Tilbury speech to engage secondary schools across the country in supporting young people to develop oracy and public speaking skills around big themes that resonate with their lives today.  

We have worked with the brilliant Chocolate Films to create a series of short films to bring the Armada Portrait to life, so students can make contemporary connections and the themes promote exciting debate.
