Portal 3 and the Future of Full-Dive VR

When will full-dive VR, as seen in The Matrix or Sword Art Online, become possible? Sooner than you might think - and it won't be some company you've never heard of before making the nerve-gear-like headset - it'll be Valve. As the minds behind Half-Life and of course, Portal, they have proved time and time again their status as innovators.

After defining our current generation of VR tech with Half-Life: Alyx, I believe the title that will both launch their headset and define full-dive will be Portal 3. Join me as I discuss the Science Nonfiction technology that will give us full-dive, how Portal 3 would define it's hardware, and pitching my idea for a third Portal game - Portal: Rattmann.

This video does not accurately represent certain technologies 100% of the time - the Galea is NOT a full-dive system, but the ability for it to read brain signals is a step TOWARDS creating full dive. A massive flaw of current BCI tech is that it is unable to write brain signals (as far as i am aware), and the ability for it to do so may not be possible for many more years to come.
