The area of the Camaldolese Hermitage is hidden deep in the northern forests of Vértes, at the foot of Lake Majki, and is still considered a curiosity complex throughout Europe.
The Camaldolese monks, who had made a vow of silence more than 250 years ago and spoke to each other only twice a year: at Easter and Christmas, lived here in their separate cell houses.
