The capital of the Republic
The capital of the Republic of Tajikistan, the city of Dushanbe, is located in the Gissar Valley.
Dushanbe is the youngest of the capital cities of the Central Asian republics. Its region had three unremarkable, filthy settlements around the turn of the 20th century. The biggest was known by the name Dushanbe, which translates to "Monday." This day of the week was used for a market, which is why they gave it that name. The nearby villages of Shakhmansur and Sary-Assia were the lodging places for traders that traveled here. These three settlements gave rise to the capital of Tajikistan.
In 1925, the city approved something that had not yet existed.
The first business opened here a year later, but new structures were springing up everywhere, and the nearby towns quickly vanished into the verdant expanse of the newly constructed metropolis. The capital was constructed rapidly, mostly by immigrants. The city was home to 83,000 people of various nationalities in 1939, and during the second part of the 20th century, 330,000 people were living there.
In addition to being the nation's capital, Dushanbe is also its most important industrial, scientific, and cultural hub.
Science, education, and the arts all advanced in tandem with the industrial revolution. Dushanbe, the capital, is a young, student-heavy city.
The Drama Theater named after A. Lahuti, the Opera and Ballet Theater named after S. Aini, and the Drama Theater are the oldest theaters in Tajikistan, and they are all located in Dushanbe.
The museums in the city are fascinating. On Aini Square, a new structure known as the Republican United Museum was constructed in the style of oriental architecture. The republic's characteristics, the Tajik people's past, and the evolution of the economy are all covered in its displays. Additionally, it presents guests to European and Asian art schools. The capital has a television station whose shows are viewed not only in the metropolis but also in the towns, cities, and villages in the southern part of Tajikistan.
Dushanbe is expanding and changing quickly. Every year, more capital is invested in the development of hotels, services, infrastructure, and tourism.
Interesting squares and parks may be found in Tajikistan's sunny capital. It has a big green square in the middle. It is particularly lovely in the spring, when the radiant southern sun creates rainbow-like effects in even the tiniest droplets from towering fountains. The S. Aini Opera and Ballet Theater edifice, adorned with columns, is situated across from the square. The town square is lovely as well. The scenery at Dushanbe is breathtaking.
In Dushanbe, the mountains produce a distinct microclimate. There are frequent light summer winds blowing around the city. They blow toward the mountains during the day and away from them at night and in the evenings. As a result, even in July, when the soil reaches temperatures of 60 to 70°, cooling arrives as soon as the sun sets. Also, the stuffiness does not cause as much suffering for the people. The beauty of Dushanbe extends beyond its verdant gardens and neighboring mountains.
