We've got our hands on the 2019 Ford F-150, Canada's best-selling light duty pickup truck with Ford's new for the F-Series 3.0L Turbo-Diesel PowerStroke® V6 engine.

We've had the chance to feature two other pickup trucks on TestDrive so far this year, and it's been our goal to get more in the garage each chance we get. Ford's 2019 F-Series pickup truck doesn't change much for this model year, with the addition of the Raptor and Lincoln Navigator's 3.5L TT EcoBoost engine for the Limited trim being the biggest change.

But this 2019 F-150 Platinum comes with Ford's smaller 3.0L PowerStroke V6 Turbo-Diesel engine, producing 250 horsepower, 440 lb-ft of torque, and a fuel consumption of 10.4L/100km during our 1,250km week with this vehicle.

Historically an episode of TestDrive like this would just be a Snapshot, since we've already featured the 2018 Ford F-150 XLT with the 2.7L TwinTurbo EcoBoost V6 earlier this year, but the Platinum trim adds enough to this truck that we felt it warranted a full episode. We go in-depth with our full tour and review, talking about the exterior features such as full LED headlights, LED side lights & bed lights, rear and side parking sensors, but lacking front parking sensors, a 360º camera system, power folding mirrors, a soft opening tailgate, and side steps to get into the truck.

We also go in-depth with the interior, such as the full leather seating and dashboard, Ford's high-detail cluster computer, Sync3® with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated and ventilated front seats with massage, the panoramic sunroof, and technology package.

We also take this PowerStroke V6 Turbo-Diesel engine on an extensive road test, talking about it's overall performance and efficiency during one of the longest driving weeks we've put a vehicle through here on TestDrive. We wrap up with a quick synopsis of what we felt about this truck, and how it might stack up against the new 2019 RAM 1500 Limited and 2019 GMC Sierra Denali.
