First of a three-part film
First of a three-part film of my journey down the Thames River Trail from its source in The Cotswolds to the estuary at Thames Barrier (also known as Sea Reach).
The first and end sections I hiked along the Thames Path. But the majority of the journey I did on the water, paddling my kayak solo (from Cricklade to Putney!). It took me 10 days in total, and I camped along the way, including wild camping in a hammock (most of the official campsites along the route were closed in 2020).
All government guidance of the time was adhered to, as well as the Countryside Code, and Leave No Trace principles.
This is literally my first ever video! I was doing the trip anyway and a friend lent me a GoPro the night before I left and suggested I film it. I’d never even owned a camera other than my phone before then.
I hope you enjoy watching these videos as much as I enjoyed filming and editing them.
