What are funding sources?

Put simply they are sources for which the schedule or project will receive income to deliver the works. Typically, a project is delivered for a customer, so they would be the primary finding source as they finance the works. Funding sources can be Internal or External.
It is possible for a project to have multiple funding sources from one or more of the below:
• Government
• One or multiple customers
• Charity
• Investors
• Joint Ventures or Cooperatives
• Grants like Research and Development
